Compliance Manager

Bittrex, the premier U.S. blockchain trading platform, seeks a Compliance Manager. Founded by three cybersecurity engineers in 2014, the mission of Bittrex is to catalyze advancement of the blockchain industry by fostering innovation and incubating new and emerging technology.

The Compliance Manager’s responsibilities include creation of workflows and compliance procedures in accordance with established policies; analysis and investigation of customer account activity, including reports of suspicious or fraudulent activity; maintaining and monitoring confidential customer information; FinCEN compliance and other compliance related duties; preparing production for law enforcement requests, and performing AML or KYC investigative research.


  • Creating and updating of compliance policies, procedures, workflows and associated projects;
  • Management of the compliance team, including mentoring and fostering professional growth;
  • Ability to work with senior level executives, including gathering requirements and building effective solutions;
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage ambiguous situations and build practical solutions which adhere to new and existing compliance policies and procedures;
  • Monitoring and shared reporting of timely and accurate operational data;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment and set deadlines;
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint;
  • Understanding and adherence to the highest level of discreteness and confidentiality regarding all aspects of his or her work and knowledge of the company;
