Bittrex, the premier U.S. blockchain trading platform, is seeking an Conference & Events Manager. The Conference & Events Manager will develop, manage and implement a comprehensive strategy for supporting the Bittrex brand and our executive speaking program through conference and event planning. This strategy will include selecting, coordinating, tracking, reporting and managing appropriate sponsorship participation, speaking opportunities and Bittrex events.

This person will partner directly with key stakeholders across the company’s multiple business units, executing events and securing speaking opportunities that meet the company’s business objectives and goals.

The ideal candidate must be extremely well-organized, possess excellent attention to detail, be highly competent in vendor management and on-site event facilitation. Communication skills, creativity, professionalism, experience and enthusiasm for delivering the highest possible level of customer service will distinguish the best candidates.

This position will be located in the greater Seattle area and will report to the head of communications and marketing. Travel will be required to support the program, of up to 30 percent.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage annual conference and event calendar; balancing impact to business, brand and ROI
  • Coordinate all logistics for conference sponsorships and exhibitions based on company’s business goals with attention to budget and time parameters
  • Assist in the planning and execution of external-facing events as well as internal events
  • Create registration websites, invitations and email communications
  • Design, order and manage conference booths and SWAG (and the inventory)
  • Send out invitations, reminders and custom email communications
  • Set up registration, develop ROI reports, book venues and schedule speakers
  • Research vendors (catering, decorators, musicians, etc.); choose the best combination of quality and cost; and negotiate with vendors to achieve the most favorable terms
  • Do final checks for day of the event (e.g. tables, technology) to ensure everything meets standards
  • Provide administrative support when needed including: managing/processing invoices; preparing overnight shipments; ordering supplies; coordinating shipments to conferences and major meetings; creating name tags and collateral; etc.

Qualifications:

  • A proven track record of organizing successful events, conference sponsorships and speakers’ program (5 – 7 years of relevant experience)
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and Adobe Design Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
  • Creative problem solver
  • Excellent vendor management skills
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities
  • Experience and ease working with executives and leadership team
  • Well-organized, attention to detail with superior multi-tasking skills is a must
  • Strong interpersonal and partnering skills
  • Self-starter, creative and nimble; resilient and flexible
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as an integral member of a team
  • Conversant in Cvent, Certain, Eventbrite or other online registration tool required
  • Experience in PR writing styles preferred
  • Degree in communications, hospitality management, public relations or relevant field is preferred
  • Willingness to travel up to 30 percent
